“I usually use lines and stripes to start the free creation in my painting, and then apply monochrome with the ‘overspread’ technique at the...

“I usually use lines and stripes to start the free creation in my painting, and then apply monochrome with the ‘overspread’ technique at the pre-set time. Continuing a new painting on the layer of being ‘overspread’, the clear lines are ‘overspread’ by another monochrome again, and all is in a cycle. The artwork is in an unfinished and restarted state at all times, no matter how perfect it looks, there is always a possibility of being ‘overspread’.
Every destructive ‘overspread’ of the perfect layer is a challenge to me, making the process of continuous ‘destruction’ becomes the core of my painting.”
