Jin is an artist from Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province. 1982, he attained Gold Award in the First National Exhibition of Minority Fine Arts with his work "Grandma" and shot to fame. After investigating the national traditional art treasure, the Dunhuang Grottoes murals, he decided to explore the expressiveness of painting. He created oil paintings that have a sense of music and a style of freehand brushwork.

The theme of Jin’s early works is the image of life with strong sense of form, combining realism model and abstract form of aesthetic feeling. The image arrangement, the distribution of light and shadow, pint, line and reflects the emphasis on form in aspects of exploration Thus, constructed the rhythm of the work and conveyed the innovative of theme through visual art.

In recent years, it can be seen that the creation focus of Jin is the human spiritual world with a kind of universal reflection on the human condition. There are memories of youth, some fleeting moments of life, and feelings that touched by the ordinary life.
